The design concept behind it is as follows:
BASKETBALL.FILIPINO.SYDNEY. The 3 Elements that needs to blend in and represent our league.
BASKETBALL – Love of the Game, Love of Country. Basketball and the Sun in our Philippine flag forms half of the circle.
FILIPINO – Colour ways represents the colours in both Philippine and Australian flag.
SYDNEY – The Sydney Opera House Silhouette. Our league needs to have the most Iconic landmark in Sydney Australia. And what better way than to have the Sydney Opera House Silhouette to form the other half of the circle. It also represents our Aussie brothers in our league.
PBAS – Pinoy Basketball Australia Sydney Aiming High to provide its members an avenue not only as a physical activity but to meet, befriend and understand people from different backgrounds and unite in the spirit of sportsmanship through our love of the game of Basketball.
Pinoy Basketball Australia Sydney (PBAs) is a non-for-profit organisation whose aim is to provide Filipinos in the South West Sydney area an opportunity to continue their love affair with basketball in their adopted country through social competition. Our priority is to provide our players top level basketball experience and we welcome all nationalities to join our league where you can build friendship and camaraderie inside and outside the court as well as promoting fitness and good sportsmanship to all the players in the group.
